Display Resolutions
Resolution lookup and quick math reference.
Useful during AV drawing production when you need to label processor outputs, display EDIDs or content canvas sizes correctly.
Resolution reference + custom raster check

Custom raster
Reference table uses common industry raster names. Use the custom section for exact ratio/PPI math.
Megapixels = width × height / 1,000,000
Exact pixel ratio = width : height reduced by greatest common divisor
PPI = √(width² + height²) / diagonal inches
Important: broadcast raster ratios (e.g. 720×480) are not always identical to displayed picture aspect because pixel aspect ratio can be non-square.
WORKED EXAMPLE
Example — UHD vs DCI 4K
Many projects confuse 3840 × 2160 UHD with 4096 × 2160 DCI 4K. This page makes the distinction clear and shows aspect ratio and total pixel count.
